The best vitamins, minerals and other supplements to take if you suffer from nutrition-based hair loss (or at least, to help your hair) are:
Vitamin A is good for the skin and scalp conditions for themselves and for their good antioxidant properties (to clean your skin and scalp of toxins, excess fat and even bacterial infections), always follow the recommended doses, and never to overdose on vitamin A. However, some dermatologists prescribe high doses of vitamin A for a limited period of time (always in control of the patient often enough) to "push" the nutrition of the hair follicle. If you buy over the counter vitamin A (pure, not carotene), make sure you understand what a safe dose, every day reading the instructions on the label. At the same time, if you are already taking a multivitamin supplement you need to take into account, since they all have small amounts of vitamin A.
Vitamin C and iron: this is the case of premenopausal women, whose levels are often lower than recommended. Vitamin C helps iron absorption and together contribute to a healthy blood supply to hair follicles, vitamin C is also a great antioxidant (see explanation in the section on vitamin A).
Vitamin E, which is often taken with vitamin A, they work well together to promote a healthy scalp, another major antioxidant.
Biotin. One of the 'recommended' Vitamin against hair loss is Biotin or Vitamin H. Biotin has been considered to avoid some hair loss and prevent excessive or premature gray hair, to some extent. Biotin is part of the vitamin B complex, however, some people should not take additional vitamin B complex, as some are susceptible to "negative" effects that vitamin B6 may have to DHT and an oily scalp (like us!). If in doubt, consult your dermatologist. Ours told us not to take too much vitamin B6.
The zinc and magnesium.
Zinc · It has been found useful in promoting hormonal balance, including the levels of DHT in the scalp. However, do not overdose on zinc and maintain the recommended dose, as directed on the bottle (about 11mg), otherwise their effect on the balance of the hormones no longer take place and may even reverse, the only times when more zinc is indicated is that if you are suffering from stress, if you drink or smoke a lot, if you're recovering from the flu or if you do rigorous exercise regularly athletes. Consult your doctor if you are unsure.
Magnesium · has anti-inflammatory (inflammation "messengers" have been associated with hair loss), plus that due to its properties but also appears to maintain their levels of cortisol in check: cortisol (which is a anti-inflammatory hormone released by the body in response to stress, sleep deprivation, hunger or fasting levels, unstable blood sugar and chronic inflammation) can cause telogen effluvium, which is hair loss of all areas of your scalp in significant quantities. Magnesium, calcium and vitamin D appear to be the best combination for your health
